Taps for protected outdoor use

These products must be strictly protected from direct rain, intense sunlight, high temperatures, frost, sea spray, and all extreme weather conditions.

Important warning: These products are not designed, tested, or approved by the manufacturers for permanent outdoor installation. Any outdoor installation, even in a covered or partially sheltered area, is carried out entirely at the customer’s own risk and is not covered by any manufacturer’s warranty or by any Edifis Group warranty for damage caused by outdoor conditions.

In particular, the warranty shall not apply in the event of corrosion, discolouration, deterioration of the finish, water ingress, damage to components, or damage caused by frost, salt, humidity, UV exposure, heat, or temperature fluctuations.

Minimum installation requirements

To minimise the risks, the following precautions must be strictly observed:

• installation under complete and permanent cover;
• no direct exposure to rain or outdoor water splashes;
• no exposure to sea spray or highly saline environments;
• preference should be given to a chrome finish, which is generally more resistant;
• a readily accessible shut-off valve must be installed on the water supply;
• the mixer, hoses, and pipework must be capable of being fully drained;
• effective frost protection must be provided;
• special or coloured finishes should be avoided in areas exposed to strong sunlight;
• frequent maintenance must be carried out to remove limescale, salt, and deposits;
• the equipment must be protected or removed during extended periods of non-use.
